Various materials can be used : steel, aluminum, wood, brick-work or concrete. The roofing could be: tensile fabric, wood, aluminum, PVC, steel, clay tiles. A thatched roof is, due to climatically conditions, not very suitable.
As carriers for advertising posters illuminated boxes have to be integrated : approx. H140x W107x D15cm (for A0: 87x120cm). The boxes can be free standing, mounted against a wall, or form an essential part of the structure. The boxes can be for posters on one side as well as double sided. Per shelter a minimum of 1, a maximum of 3 boxes.
The minimum size of the passengers area should not be less than 45m2. It should be taken into account that in front of the passenger shelter a paved road (by-pass) of 2,50m width minimum will be constructed.
Space should be created for a place to rest. Seats for minimum of 4 with a maximum of 14 persons should be part of the design.
Provision has to be made to hold a message screen. A steel box or any other –foolproofcontainer shall be part of the construction.
The passenger shelter has to be comfortable and pleasant illuminated so that waiting passengers can read without exceptional effort.
A bin for waist collection has to be part of the construction.
